The Optoma W340UST is an ultra short throw projector that can be used during the day, for meetings, education and for business. It’s not really strong enough to be a home projector as the resolution is not 1080p. There are better projectors for just a little more. The W340UST projector has a high brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens which means that you can leave the lights on and blinds open during meetings. This is an ultra short throw projector which enables you to project large images from a short distance away.
Just Projectors review on the Optoma W340UST: The high contrast ratio of 22,000:1 gives a very basic image so whether it’s a spreadsheet, PowerPoint or video presentation there will be no loss of clarity and will make the darker areas more defined, which is great for images. It is very simple for the W340UST projector to connect to a Mac, PC or other device such as tablet or smartphone, as it has both a HDMI and the VGA input so all you need is a cable to hook it up to and it will power up in less than 10 seconds. There is also a USB to power an HDMI dongle, such as Google Chromecast.
The native WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) is widescreen and is suitable for spreadsheets, images, and videos. Most modern sources are widescreen
It features a long lamp life and subsequently lower costs with replacement lamps being few and far between. It of course has the option to be wireless with an optional wireless adapter making the health and safety hazard of trailing cables along the floor a thing of the past.
